Recognition of a pioneering youth engagement initiative
Local media coverage highlighted the launch of the Student Engagement Programme and the formation of “Young Arujivn”, recognising the initiative’s contribution to community awareness and youth engagement.
The programme brought together students, teachers, parents, healthcare professionals, and community representatives to create awareness about palliative and supportive care for people living with serious illnesses. Through interactive discussions, experience-sharing sessions, and creative learning activities, participants explored how compassion can make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and families facing health-related suffering.
As part of the initiative, Arujivn introduced the concept of “Young Arujivn“, a student volunteer movement designed to encourage children and adolescents to become advocates for kindness, social responsibility, and community care.
Students were encouraged to express their understanding of palliative care through creative mediums such as art, poetry, photography, awareness campaigns, street plays, and community outreach activities.
The programme represented an important step towards building compassionate communities by engaging young people as partners in social change. By nurturing empathy and civic responsibility from an early age, Arujivn seeks to inspire future generations to contribute towards a more caring and inclusive society.
